The doctor set an induction date for next week. If baby has not arrived by Thursday, I will be induced in the morning. We will actually go in Wednesday night at 7pm. They are going to insert a prostaglandin gel to (hopefully) help my cervix dilate/efface before the induction Thursday morning. At my appointment on Friday I was still just a fingertip dilated. We are still praying baby will decide to come before then so I can avoid the pitocin but I can't wait too much longer because of school... I start clinicals in less than 3 weeks. We are excited about having a date set but nervous! I'm so scared the induction will be unsuccessful and I'll end up with a a c-section and no time to recover. We go in Tuesday for an ultrasound to check the weight of the baby and amniotic fluid level. The doctor isn't concerned about either but since my due date is Monday, he's just checking to be on the safe side.
No matter what, Baby Padgett will be here next week! We'll keep ya updated if anything happens before then.

Good luck Laura! I know the end is miserable. I didn't kick into labor w/ Ty despite trying every old wives tale known to man. Enjoy the piece and quiet and time with Korey. I hope for you it will happen this week (the chances are in your favor!) Thinking about you. So sorry we missed the shower. Good luck!
