30 Weeks

Well we made it back from Gulf Shores and had an amazing time. Korey and I enjoyed relaxing all week and we all had a blast with Aiden, who is turning into a funny, smart little boy! He loved the pool and playing on the beach. We have a TON of pictures so I'll post some of them soon. I am so thankful we got to spend a week off of work/school to have fun and relax with the family.

I am 30 weeks pregnant today. 10 weeks left... I can't believe how fast things have gone by and how much we left to do before baby comes. Spending a few hours in the hospital last week really freaked me out and made me realize how close we are getting to baby being here... They checked me and said my cervix is showing some change (softening, 50% effaced, and 1 cm dilated). The nurse practioner (my doctor was out of town) asked me if I had been having contractions and I said no, I really haven't felt any, just a lot of uncomfortable pressure when I stand up and walk around. They hooked me up to a monitor and apparently I was having regular (very small) contractions. Once I could see on the monitor when I was having one I could feel with my hand how tight my stomach felt. They gave me some medicine to stop the contractions and after a few hours we went home. I am not allowed to work this week, but I see my doctor on Thursday for a follow up and I'm really hoping he tells me I can go back to work next week. Fingers crossed that all will be okay. Until then I am taking it easy and hanging out in Batesville with my family so I can get some stuff done here. Korey moves out of his apartment and is done with summer classes in 2 weeks so we have a lot to do to get the apartment ready before then.

Yesterday we painted the nursery and Mom cleaned the carpets for us. I loove the color and can't wait to put the rest of it together. I'll post pics as it all comes together.
