13 weeks

At 13 weeks the baby is the size of a peach. Fingerprints have formed on his tiny fingertips, his veins and organs are clearly visible through his skin, and his body is starting to catch up with his head, which is about 1/3 the size of his body now.

This Monday marked week 13. I can't believe it's been 7 weeks since we found out about the little one. Last week Korey and I went to our 12 week appointment. We got to the hear the heartbeat and meet the doctor that will be seeing me until this little one makes his/her appearance. We both liked him, and thought it was funny that the rumor I heard about him looking like Bill Murray was very true. We talked about genetic testing (which we've opted against), how I'm feeling (a little better... but still TIRED), and things like my cat, who I am supposed to avoid as much as possible (not possible! she follows me everywhere is always right on top of me). The heartbeat was in the 170's and was so cool to hear. We scheduled our 16 week appointment and will know then when our next ultrasound will be (around 20 weeks). We are not finding out the sex of the baby, despite our families begging us to! Sorry guys, you'll have to wait until August. :P Lots of greens and yellows until then!

Korey and I had a great Valentine's weekend. Korey made me a delicious dinner on Friday (one of his dad's recipes) and got the baby and I each a Valentine's Day card. We went shopping with my mom on Saturday and then stayed home and watched a movie. He also endured my first pregnancy craving at 9:30 Saturday night. I absoultely had to have a turkey sandwich. With colby cheese and potato chips on it. We made it to Meijer before they closed and I went to bed happy and full! :)

Laura,

Congratulations!! Abby and I are in Seattle this week visiting Angie and were looking through the blogs when we saw your new link....sorry if this Congrats is late, not sure how long your blog has been up...

After having all 4 kids (Ty,Ave,Zoe, and Ash) under the age of 3 together for a week, I can say that kids are great but require sooo much attention...enjoy your next few months of peace and quiet=)

Angie says if you have any questions feel free to call or email and that the generic prenatal vitamins works just as well as the prescription prenatals; there is no need to spend a ton of money.

Take care,
Amy, Angie, and Abby
