16 weeks

Today marks week 16. 4 months pregnant! For those keeping track, this week baby is the size of an avocado. We had an appointment last Friday and everything looked great. Heartbeat sounded good and everything else looked normal. I talked to the doctor about this pain I've been having in my tailbone. It's worst when I stand up and walk around after sitting for even 10-15 minutes. It gets really bad and I look funny waddling around my apartment with hardly any belly. The doctor explained it was pain caused by my ligaments relaxing and stretching. He said it wasn't very common this early and that it wouldn't really go away without physical therapy. Right now I can stand it... I'm sure I have many more aches and pains to worry about later so I might as well get used to this one! We are now looking forward to our 20 week ultrasound scheduled April 3rd. I am anxious to see that everything is developing normally. Since we won't be seeing any baby private parts, I'm just excited to see brain, heart, hands, and feet. : )

I survived last week and now this week is Korey's midterms. Our spring break starts on Friday. We are going to drive to Nashville for a couple nights and visit with one of Korey's friends from high school. I'm excited to get out of Indy and have a mini-vacation.

Check out some Belly Shots below... I've stocked up on a couple maternity items but they aren't completely necessary yet. Still in that in-between phase...
