Belly - 23 weeks

23 weeks - 6 months!

Sorry for the delay in updates, I'm close to finishing another semester of Nursing School! I have 1 class left and 3 finals next week. I'm looking forward to starting work full-time again... There are a TON of pregnant women at work (coworkers I mean, not patients :P), so it's fun seeing and talking to everyone about their pregnancies. I've been feeling GREAT and the baby kicks all the time. The baby kicks almost everytime I lay on the couch with my laptop on my belly. The other day the kicks were really strong so I got my camera and recorded a video of my belly jumping (posted below!). Korey and I are still trying to settle on a name, but it's been harder than I thought! We have a long list of "maybes"... so far nothing that we are excited about. We are trying to find a place to rent once we move to Batesville. Our leases are up in June and July so we are hoping to find something and start planning the move.

Baby Kick

You can see a kick around the 25 second mark up in the top right of the screen. I thought I got more on video but that's the only one you can really see. : )

(I should mention the giant hole above my belly button is from my belly button ring, I took it out last week. I am really hoping it doesn't grow larger as my belly gets bigger. Yikes.)

20 week appointment + Easter pictures

I had my 20 week appointment last Friday. Everything went well, I have gained 6 pounds so far and the baby's heartbeat was strong and in the 150's. I am going to have another ultrasound in 4 weeks to check on my placenta. The doctor explained that 99% of the time it will move further away from the cervix as the baby grows. So he's just going to keep an eye on it.

We went home this weekend for Easter. We had a great day visiting everyone... Aiden enjoyed looking for eggs or "balls" as he put it. I got a new camera for my birthday, so I finally have some good pictures to post.

20 Week Belly

The belly is getting a little bigger every day I think. Korey felt the baby move on Saturday. I wasn't expecting him to feel it this early but I felt a big kick so I just told him to push down a little on my belly and sure enough he/she wanted to say hello! We were both excited.

It's a... Baby! : ) We got to see everything except for the little one's "parts," though the ultrasound technician said he/she gave her a good view while we had our eyes closed! Everything else looked perfect. Healthy and measuring right on my due date. I may get another ultrasound later in the pregnancy to check my placenta, which was measuring a little close to my cervix, but the lady said it wasn't anything to be worried about and that that the doctor may just want to check it out in a few weeks. We don't mind... more pictures for us!
